Research focuses on the design,

Research focuses on the design, building, and operation of green energy systems in island mode or integrated into the power grid. Smart grid distributed generation systems, transportation applications (electric and hybrid vehicles), optimal resource allocation, and pricing issues are tackled by the knowledge of power systems and basic energy, power electronics, and control systems. Our progress in these areas will radically transform the ability of power industry to design, build, and operate green energy systems in island mode or integrated into the US power grid. We are focusing on a holistic expansion of the knowledge base in the intersection of three disciplines of power systems and basic energy, power electronics, and control systems into smart grid distributed generation systems, transportation applications (electric and hybrid vehicles), optimal resource allocation, and pricing issues.
